<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'd like to share another recipe with you. A Filipino and tasty dish called "Kare-kare." I got this recipe from my sister. I tried this a few times already so I somehow managed to do it well. But even when the first time I did this, it was great.</div>
<br />
<center>
<table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; opacity: 0.7; text-align: left; width: 350px;"><tbody>
<tr><td><div style="text-align: justify;">
These are the ingredients:<br />
1/2 kilo beef/tripe cut into cubes<br />
1/2 kilo oxtail, 2" long (optional)<br />
8 cups of Water<br />
4 tbsp Oil<br />
1/8 cup Annato Seeds (atsuete)<br />
2 pcs Onions<br />
1 head Garlic<br />
3 cups Peanut Butter<br />
1/4 cup Ground Roasted Rice (or Rice Flour/All Purpose Flour)<br />
4 pcs. Eggplant 1" thick<br />
1 bundle Pechay<br />
1 bundle Sitaw, 2" long strips<br />
1 Banana Bud<br />
Salt or Patis to Taste<br />
<br />
<br />
Procedure:<br />
1. Boil beef tripe in water for an hour, 30-45 minutes in a pressure cooker or until tender. Strain and keep stock. Remove scums.<br />
2. Put hot water in the annato seeds in a bowl let it stand until bright red in color. Discard the seeds.<br />
3. Saute onions and garlic. Add stock, roasted rice or flour, beef tripe and/or oxtail and peanut butter.<br />
4. Bring to boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Add salt/fish sauce to taste. Put in the annato / atsuete mix well.<br />
5. Add vegetables with 2 minutes intervals: sitaw, eggplant, banana bud and pechay.
6. Cook for a few minutes. Don't over cook the vegetables.<br />
7. Serve with bagoong and rice.<br />
*If using rice flour, mix 1/2 of stock to flour and 1/2 to peanut butter prior to adding mixture.
</div>
<table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; opacity: 0.7; text-align: left; width: 350px;"></table>
</td></tr>
</tbody> </table>
</center>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In the original recipe of my sister, the annato seeds are heated in oil. But for me, I only put in a hot water until it turns bright red in color. It's up to you how red it would be. You can put it later than the veggies or before adding the veggies. This looks difficult to cook but it is pretty simple. I also don't usually measure the ingredients especially the peanut butter. I add just a few at first, then add more to my liking. I actually put a lot so it will taste good so don't stick so much to my measurements. I also don't use oxtail with my recipe, but it is up to you it you want it. I like beef tripe more because it has less scums and fats.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I hope you will try this and share with me the picture of it. Hope you will also like it the way I did it. Till my next dish! See yah!</div>

I'm back with another easy recipe for you. This is called pork steak casserole. I got this from my android phone application "recipes" The cooking preparation is so easy to do because it has few ingredients.</div>

These are the ingredients:<br />
Pork steaks<br />
2 1/2 tsp. flour<br />
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup<br />
1 cup Milk<br />
<br />
Procedure:<br />
Brown steaks well in frying pan. Remove meat. Add flour, soup and milk to frying pan and simmer a few minutes. Layer in casserole the steaks with salt and pepper. You can eliminate the salt also because the cream of mushroom soup is already salty. Top the meat with the soup mixture and bake at 350 degree F about 1 hour or until done. </div>
<table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; opacity: 0.7; text-align: left; width: 350px;"></table>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
You may add more milk or water if necessary. I also added some cheese when I reheated it. You can add veggies like carrots, white onions and potatoes during baking. Don't forget to share what you did here. Until my next dish! See yah!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm back again after almost a year of not posting. I'm finally here again to share with you the recipes of some of the dishes I cooked and got from food magazines, internet and acquired from family. Some of them were invented and some were improved and revised.
I will post the recipe I have shared through my FB almost a year now. When I posted it, many of my friends liked it. So I figured that I will share the recipe here. This dish is so delicious and very easy to make. I did this a couple of times after I discovered it. I got it from "Yummy Magazine" March 2011 issue. The first time I did this, I don't have an orange so I substituted a couple of calamansi and it was so good.
</div>
<br />
<br />
<center><table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; opacity: 0.7; text-align: left; width: 350px;"><tbody>
<tr><td><div style="text-align: justify;">
Here are the Ingredients:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
FOR THE COATING</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 cup All purpose flour</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 teaspoon five-spice powder</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 teaspoon salt</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1/4 teaspoon pepper</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
cooking oil, for deep frying</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
12 pieces chicken wings</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
FOR THE HONEY-ORANGE GLAZE</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 tablespoon oil</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 tablespoon ginger, sliced very thinly (or grated)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 tablespoon grated orange zest (substitute: calamansi or lemon)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1/2 cup honey</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
PROCEDURE:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In a small bowl, mix together flour, five-spice powder, salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a medium sauce pan. Coat wings well with the flour mixture and fry for 10 to 15 minutes or until parts turn golden brown. Remove from heat and drain on paper towel.
TO make the honey-orange glaze: In a medium saucepan, heat oil on medium heat and saute ginger for 1 minute. Add grated orange peel (or the substitute) then add honey. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Place wings in batches in the pan and toss to coat the wings with the glaze. Serve as desired.

This is a recommended recipes that I am sure you'll love. It has the sweetness and citrus flavor that blends in together with the ginger. Once it has been coated, it retains the crispiness of the chicken. So it is so good. Hope you'll try this and share it with me. Until my next dish! <div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I got this recipe originally from <a href="http://rachaelray.com/recipe.php?recipe_id=977">Rachael Ray's Site</a>, a well known figure from Lifestyle Network. Most of the ingredients from the recipe is not popular here so I decided to make a little twist but still maintain the title. I failed to have a honey so I substituted brown sugar and a little water. I also added some carrots and bean sprouts to make it healthier.</div>
<br />
<center><table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; opacity: 0.7; text-align: left; width: 350px;"><tbody>
<tr><td>Here are the Ingredients:<br />
Smooth peanut butter<br />
Honey (or Brown Sugar w/ little water)<br />
Soy Sauce<br />
Sesame oil<br />
Grated Ginger<br />
Spaghetti, cooked and rinsed under cold water<br />
Toasted Sesame Seeds (optional)<br />
Bean Sprouts,blanched<br />
Carrots, blanched<br />
<br />
Heat peanut butter over low heat on stove until mushy. Whisk honey and Soy sauce into the peanut butter, then whisk in the sesame
oil and the ginger. Toss the spaghetti with the sauce. If you want to
get really groovy with the noodles, sprinkle them with sesame seeds. If
you want to bump up the crunch factor, add some shredded carrots,
scallions, bean sprouts or other veggies.<br />

This dish is super yummy and nutritious too because of the veggies. You can add more veggies that you want as long as you blanch it first. You can also add a little bit sauce it you want. <div style="text-align: justify;">
I got this from Flavors Magazine. It looked so delicious in the picture and it was so easy to do. I had a little bit of problem at first because the rice I made was not so sticky and the original recipe calls for a cubed cheese and rolled into the corned beef. I made a solution for both the problems I had. I added more water in the rice to make it stickier and then cooked the corned beef and cheese together and then rolled in the rice.</div>
<br />
<br />
<center><table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; opacity: 0.7; text-align: left; width: 350px;"><tbody>

Rice, cooked<br />
Eggs, beaten<br />
Japanese Breadcrumbs<br />

Procedure:<br />
Cook the corned beef together with the grated cheese. Get a spoonful of corned beef and wrap with cooked rice. Roll on palms to make even balls. Place each rice ball on a tray liked with baking paper and freeze.<br />
When ready to cook, heat oil in pan. While the rice balls are still in frozen state, dip in beaten eggs and roll in Japanese Breadcrumbs. Deep fry rice balls in hot oil until golden brown. You can dip this with garlic sauce or any dip you want.

This time, a twist of spaghetti which is called pork chop spaghetti. This was the first time I got to cook this and it went very well. I just had a bit problem with the pork, I think I should cook it longer so it will be softer. I got this recipe from my android phone application "recipe". You can also check it out <a href="http://www.allthecooks.com/recipe/Pork+Chop+spaghetti-287216/">here</a>. These are the ingredients for this recipe:</div><br />
<br />
<center><table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; opacity: 0.7; text-align: left; width: 350px;"><tbody>
<tr><td>Ingredients:<br />
<br />
1 tbsp · butter <br />
6 shoulder pork chops -- 1/2 inch thick<br />
¼ cup · onion -- chopped<br />
1 can · (15 oz.) tomato sauce<br />
1 spaghetti sauce, packet -- 1 1/2 oz.<br />
¾ to 1 cup water<br />
½ cup · grated parmesan cheese<br />
¼ packages · spaghetti (8 oz.)<br />
1 cup · mozzarella cheese -- shredded<br />
1/4 cup sugar (optional)<br />
1/2 cup ketchup (optional)<br />
<br />
Procedure:<br />
Melt butter in electric skillet. Add pork chops and brown slowly on both sides.<br />
Remove from skillet; add onion and saute until tender. Add tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce mix and water. Mix well.<br />
Reduce heat to low; return pork chops to skillet, cover and simmer 45 to 55 minutes or until tender. If sauce is too thick, add more water.<br />
Stir parmesan cheese into cooked sauce.<br />
Meanwhile, prepare spaghetti according to package directions; drain and arrange spaghetti and chops on serving platter. Spoon sauce over all. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over pork chops. Serves 6.<br />
<table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; opacity: 0.7; text-align: left; width: 350px;"></table></td></tr>
</tbody></table></center><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">For this recipe, I failed to add in the mozzarella so instead, I used grated Parmesan cheese on top. I also added sugar and ketchup to make it "a pinoy style" spaghetti. It is up to you how you like your spaghetti. If you want a more Italian taste, add more tomato sauce and don't add the sugar.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
You can add garlic bread as your side dish for a complete meal. I will add more pasta dishes soon. Don't be afraid to try new recipes instead of the usual. Until my next dish! 4 servings instant-cook ramen noodles<br />
<br />
For the Toppings:<br />
4 pieces prepared katsudon (breaded pork cutlet)<br />

<br />
Procedure:<br />
In a pot, heat oil then saute onions and garlic. Add water and bring to a boil. Add bouillon and hondashi. Stir in miso and blend well. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes then add sesame oil. Keep hot.<br />
Fry cutlets until crisp and brown. Slice into strips.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">This is so easy to make and very delicious too. I don't have a few ingredients in the original recipe. <tr> <td><br />
Here are the ingredients for this delicious dish:<br />
2 lb. Ground Beef<br />
1/4 cup onion<br />
1 garlic clove mashed with<br />
1/2 teaspoon salt or garlic salt<br />
1/2 shredded carrot (1/2 to 1 cup)<br />
1/4 cup water<br />
2 tablespoon flour<br />
1/4 teaspoon oregano<br />
1/4 teaspoon cumin<br />
1 teaspoon instant bouillon<br />
<br />
Procedure:<br />
Brown meat in frying pan. Add garlic, onion, carrot, oregano, cumin and instant bouillon. Stir until blended. Sprinkle flour on top. Stir in. Simmer until meat and carrots are tender.<br />
I used pizza dough as the tortilla. I cut them in 4 and then filled them with the meat filling, rolled up tightly. Then bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until brown.<br />
<br />
If you want, you can also do other procedures for this:<br />
<b>For Tacos:</b> Cook tortillas in hot oil, few minutes each side. Fold in 1/2. Drain on paper towels. Fill each taco with spoonful of taco meat. May use prepared shells.<br />
<b>For Enchiladas:</b> Fill softened tortillas with meat filling and shredded jack cheese. Bake about 20 minutes.<br />
<b>For Chimichangas:</b> Fill flour tortillas with meat filling, cheese and refried beans. Roll up tightly. Be sure to fold edges and sides. Fry in hot oil for a few minutes on each side until lightly browned. Top with salsa and sour cream.<br />
<b>For Burritos:</b>Fill flour tortillas with refried beans, meat filling and cheese and roll up. Warm in microwave to melt cheese and heat through. Add desired toppings.</td> </tr>
</tbody></table></center></div><div style="text-align: justify;">You can add a dip for it like I did. Just add mayo, ketchup, salt and pepper and milk or you can just eat it that way. This can be a substitute for a meal because of the dough, which is very filling. You can also use it as a side dish for a soup.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Procedure:</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Cook potatoes on a double boiler until it is very soft, then mash them. Add butter, salt and pepper. I did the exact ingredients for the marinade but I added the tomatoes so it would be more filling.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Procedure:</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Cut chicken into 1 1/2 inches square pieces. Thread each of eight 6 inches bamboo or metal skewers alternately with chicken, white onion pieces (spear onion slices through side, not lengthwise) and tomatoes. Place skewers in shallow pan. Combine soy sauce, sugar, oil, ginger and garlic; pour over skewers and brush chicken thoroughly with sauce. Marinate 30 minutes. Reserving marinade, place on rack of broiler pan. Turn over and brush with reserved marinade until the chicken is tender.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

But I did not copy the exact recipe procedure. The original name of this is Liver Dumplings but because I fried it, I called this dish Fried Liver Dumplings.<br />
<br />
<center><table border="1" bordercolor="#33CCFF" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="3" style="background-color: #000066; filter: alpha(opacity=40); opacity: 0.7; width: 350px;"><tbody>
<tr> <td><br />
Here are the ingredients and procedure on how to make this:<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">slices of dry bread</div><div style="text-align: justify;">1/4 kilo beef liver - ground</div><div style="text-align: justify;">3 large onion - finely chopped</div><div style="text-align: justify;">3 eggs</div><div style="text-align: justify;">1 tbsp salt</div><div style="text-align: justify;">1 tbsp pepper</div><div style="text-align: justify;">1 tbsp teaspoon nutmeg</div><div style="text-align: justify;">1 tbsp thyme</div><div style="text-align: justify;">1/2 cup bread crumbs</div><div style="text-align: justify;">1/2 cup flour</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Cooking Oil</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Mayonnaise (optional)</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Procedure:</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Soak bread in water. Squeeze dry; crumble into bowl. Combine liver, onion, egg, seasonings, crumbs and flour with bread; blend thoroughly.</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Form the mixture into oblong or circle shapes using a spoon. Dip fry into a frying pan with cooking oil. You may add mayonnaise on top for garnish. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"></td> </tr>
</tbody></table></center></div><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The original recipe is boiled into water, mine is a little different but so delicious. You can invent the sauce for this dish. You can add garlic, salt and pepper and milk to the mayonnaise to serve as a dip.<br />
<br />

I got this from our family's recipes but sadly I forgot to put the liver which would taste better. These are the ingredients for Pansit:</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Pansit Bihon</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Carrots</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Baguio Beans</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Cabbage</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Pork</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Chicken Balls</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Soy Sauce</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Salt and Pepper</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Shrimp Stock</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Pork Stock</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Oyster Sauce (optional)<br />
Cooking Oil<br />
Onion and Garlic<br />
<br />
Procedure:<br />
Saute the onion and garlic, add in the pork (and/or liver) until it is soft and tender. Add in the rest of the vegetables and the salt and pepper. Then pour the shrimp and pork stock then the pansit bihon. Mix the soy sauce and the oyster sauce. Let it simmer for a few minutes and then it is done.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I didn't put on the measurements because it would depend on you. The more ingredients you have, the more it will taste good. I've put some oyster sauce to make it a bit sweeter. You can also add liver and sitcharo (instead of baguio beans). You can cook this for special occasions like birthday because they say that it will give you a long life. :D</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">That's it for now. Until my next dish. I guess many of you already know how to cook this. To those who don't know it yet, I will share the recipe with you.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Here are the ingredients:</div><div style="text-align: justify;">5-6 Medium to Large Eggplants</div><div style="text-align: justify;">1/4 Kilo Ground Pork</div><div style="text-align: justify;">3 Medium Carrots diced</div><div style="text-align: justify;">3 Large Potatoes, diced</div><div style="text-align: justify;">2-3 Beaten Eggs</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Onion and Garlic </div><div style="text-align: justify;">Salt and Pepper to taste</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Cooking Oil </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Procedure:</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Grill the eggplants until it is cooked and soft enough to peel its skin. After you peel the skin, mash it with fork making it in a circular / oblong shape. Set it aside.</div><div style="text-align: justify;">For the mixture, saute garlic and onions, then add the ground pork. Cook the pork for about 30 minutes or until it turns brown. Add in the carrots, potatoes and salt and pepper. Set it aside.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Get your mashed eggplants and add the mixture, one eggplant at a time. Put it in a plate so you can arrange it beautifully. Put the beaten eggs, enough to cover the whole eggplant. Then fry it.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">If you noticed it, it takes a while to be able to prepare it because of the processes you have to do. But once you get the hang of it, it is quite easy. For the sauce you can add for this dish is soy sauce and calamansi. But for me, I love the japanese mayo and ketchup to go with it. :))</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
