Miso Katsudon Ramen by RiA

I got this recipe from the book "Yummy: 100 Everyday Recipes" This is so enticing and flavorful dish. Let me now share with you the ingredients and procedure on how to make this:

For the Stock:
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tablespoon minced garlic
3 cups water
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 tablespoon hondashi granules (optional)
3 tablespoon Japanese miso (plain miso will do)
salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
4 servings instant-cook ramen noodles

For the Toppings:
4 pieces prepared katsudon (breaded pork cutlet)
1/2 cup thinly sliced shitake mushrooms (Optional)
1/2 cup thinly sliced leeks
4 egg yolks
2 sheets nori wrapper, cut into thin strips
toasted sesame seeds

Procedure:
In a pot, heat oil then saute onions and garlic. Add water and bring to a boil. Add bouillon and hondashi. Stir in miso and blend well. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes then add sesame oil. Keep hot.
Fry cutlets until crisp and brown. Slice into strips.
Divide noodles into 4 bowls. Top with sliced pork, shitake and leeks. Add in egg yolk then ladle in hot broth. Top with nori strips and sesame seeds.

This is so easy to make and very delicious too. I don't have a few ingredients in the original recipe. I failed to add hondashi granules, sesame oil and shitake mushrooms but its still okay. This is good for this rainy weather. Hope you can also try this. Until my next dish! See yah!
